For full disclosure, I’m an enthusiastic fan of Chef Matt’s cooking because I’ve enjoyed the variety and depth of his culinary ingenuity on many occasions. But don’t just take it from me. Matt has won numerous BBQ and Cajun/Creole awards among many others, and his overseas experience is powerfully displayed in his finished culinary works. While working for the Hyatt Regency, he supervised several of their 5-Star restaurants including a Teppanyaki restaurant, an Italian restaurant, a Japanese restaurant, and even Hyatt’s Las Vegas-style buffet restaurant. Matt is not only a world-class chef, but he is also one of the nicest gentlemen you’ll ever meet.

Matt is infusing his menu with both THC and CBD options along with non-infused food. “I want people to be able to truly enjoy themselves in their own way,” Matt said. “We’ll have separate THC or CBD-infused dishes so guests might have one with cannabis, another with just CBD or something delicious that is non-infused.” 

While the event is a party, Matt is also offering live cooking demonstrations. “People are going to be able to come in the kitchen and actually make the risotto and other items on the menu. I’ll explain each dish and what it is that they’re going to enjoy.”

A High-End Menu

So what’s on the menu? To be sure, not your average hors d’oeuvres:

• Duck Confit with potatoes and a Quail Egg
• Lobster Risotto
• Polenta with Mushroom and Onion Ragu
• Strawberry Shortcake with Ice Cream

Personally, he had me at Duck Confit. The price of admission for this cannabis-friendly evening includes an open bar, product samples and demos, gift bags with cannabis and CBD swag, live music and a podcast, and exhibitor tables with samples.
